About me
Shari Caplan is the author of “Advice from a Siren” (Dancing Girl Press, 2016). Her work appears in Zoetic Press, Drunk Monkeys, and Deluge and is forthcoming from Blue Lyra Review and The Rhylsing Anthology, a publication of Rhylsing Award nominees. A graduate of Lesley University’s MFA program, Caplan has received grants for The Home School in Hudson, NY and for the Vermont Studio Center. She volunteered for The VIDA Count, as a reader for Sugar House Review, and as co-editor of Soundings East. She has performed as “Betty BOOM: America’s Sweet-tart” for the Poetry Brothel in Boston and off-site at AWP 2017. She can be found writing, acting, performing, and creating events in Boston and Salem.
