About me
Whether wielding her words as swords or surrendering them as a sacrifice, Queen G is a passionate poet fueled by faith. She is a Liberian American creative, educator, public speaker, and voice actor. Her work investigates identity, challenges oppression, & reimagines community, culture, & faith as it reinforces her belief in the power of storytelling.
It has taken her around the US and around the world to countries including Haiti, Nicaragua, and South Africa. She competed at the 2016 National Poetry Slam and was a featured artist at the 2017 PVD fest. She competed in the 2017 Women of the World Poetry Slam and is currently the 2018 WOWPS rep for 7 Hills Slam. She released her debut chapbook, The Whetting Stone in December 2016.
