About me
- Emily Ferrara's book The Alchemy of Grief won the Bordighera Poetry Prize, and was published in bilingual edition (in English with Italian translation by Sabine Pascarelli) in 2007 by Bordighera Press.
- Teaches creative writing to medical students at UMass Medical School, where she is an assistant professor of family medicine and community health.
- Founder of "The Alchemy of Writing", offering poetry and creative writing workshops, consultations, coaching and editing, writing and mindfulness programs.
- Host of "The Heart Aroused", a series of events featuring poetry, music and mindfulness at The HeartWell Institute in Worcester MA.
