About me
David Davis is the current Poet In Residence at the Joppa Flats Audubon Center. He has been a member of the Powow River Poets since 2005. Davis is a retired high-tech entrepreneur and artificial intelligence consultant whose work has been featured in Newsweek, Scientific American, and the BBC World Service. He has published or edited five books and forty papers in his technical area. His short story "Mud/Aurora", published in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, was anthologized, translated into multiple languages, and named one of the top science fiction short stories of its year. Davis's poetry books are Crossing Streams on Rocks, Joppa Flats, and The Joy Poems, and he will read from those books in this event.
