About me

Chuck Carlise is the author of the collection, In One Version of the Story (New Issues, Editor’s Choice 2016), and the chapbooks, A Broken Escalator Still Isn’t the Stairs (Concrete Wolf 2011) and Casual Insomniac (Bateau 2011). He has been the recipient of the InPrint/Paul Verlaine Poetry Prize, the C.T. Wright Poetry Prize, two Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prizes, and was anthologized in Best New Poets in both 2012 and 2014. Currently, he lectures on writing and cultural studies at UC-Santa Cruz.
