Aaron Smith is the author of three full-length collections of poetry: Blue on Blue Ground, winner of the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize; Appetite, an NPR Best Book and finalist for the Paterson Poetry Prize; his most recent book, Primer, was published in 2016. All three of his books have been a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award. His chapbooks include What's Required, winner of the Frank O'Hara Prize, and Men in Groups. His work has appeared in numerous publications including The Best American Poetry 2013. He is associate professor of creative writing at Lesley University.
