Jennifer Barber’s fourth poetry collection, The Sliding Boat Our Bodies Made, came out in 2022 from The Word Works. Her collection Works on Paper received the 2015 Tenth Gate Prize from The Word Works and was published in 2016. She is the current poet laureate of Brookline and the co-editor, with Fred Marchant and Jessica Greenbaum, of the anthology Tree Lines: 21st Century American Poems (Grayson Books, 2022). Her poems have appeared in the Paris Review, Poetry, the Harvard Divinity Bulletin, the New Yorker, December, Ruminate, North American Review, and Post Road, among many other journals. She is the founding editor of the literary journal Salamander, based at Suffolk University, and served as its editor in chief from 1992 to 2018.
