About me
Jennifer Markell's first poetry collection, Samsara, (Turning Point, 2014) was named a “Must-Read Book” by the Massachusetts Book Awards in 2015 and was a Finalist in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Markell received the Barbara Bradley and Firman Houghton awards from the New England Poetry Club. Her work is included in numerous journals, including The Bitter Oleander, Consequence, Rhino, Tinderbox, and the Women's Review of Books. She works as a psychotherapist in the Boston area. Jennifer's second poetry collection, "Singing at High Altitude," is forthcoming from the Main Street Rag in 2021.
