The Florence Poetry Carnival is a community art event that takes place in the middle of town. This is the second year the carnival is part of ArtWeekMass. This public art project presents poetry as an inclusive and accessible expressive art through playful interactivity and by programming poetry as a multi and interdisciplinary art form. In the afternoon, strolling performers, poetry on demand and custom poetry carnival games are part of lawn activities. The day will close with a shared reading by local poets laureate: Springfield's Magdalena Gomez, Hadley's Wanda Cook and Maria Jose Gimenez, Easthampton's 2019 poet laureate. Please come join us!
