About me
Casey Lynn Roland grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts and currently resides in Beverly. Casey began writing poetry in high school, but didn’t take it seriously until working towards a BA in English at Salem State University, where she became the first graduate with a concentration in Creative Writing. She eventually earned an MA/MAT in English to pursue a career in teaching. For four years, Casey also co-directed the creative arts community the Theatre of Words and Music, and has been an active participant in the Salem Writers Group. Her work has appeared in Soundings East, Artichoke Haircut, Hospital Drive, and the Salem Writers Group Anthology. In addition to writing poetry and creating art of all kinds, Casey is a Professional Writing Tutor at Endicott College and the resident Scenic Designer at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. Casey has also recently been accepted to the MFA in Poetry program at the University of New Hampshire, which she will attend in Fall 2018. She has a healthy obsession with root vegetables and wishes she had more time to read. For more info, visit www.caseylynnroland.com or follow @mscaseycreates
