First Sunday of every month: featuring poetry, spoken word, & stories hosted by Paul Richmond!
Doors are at 1:30pm, open mic starts at 2:00pm with 5-minute time slots. Featured writers start at 3:00, each have 15 minutes.
Join us at Judd’s Restaurant for Sunday Brunch (10am-2pm), take a stroll through the Small Works Gallery, and come see us in The Divine Theater at 2! Donation requested $1 to $10 help support Gateway City Arts.

Do you want to improve your poetry readings and get more comfortable with speaking in front of an audience? In this one hour online workshop, you will discover simple ways to open up your voice, settle into your physicality, and connect to your audience and your work. You will leave this workshop with tools to take with you for the rest of your reading and public speaking life, and even your day to day life!
Please bring a short poem of your own as well as a short poem you love, written by someone else.

Trident Booksellers & Cafe

Join us for a fun evening of open mic poetry! We invite you to bring your own works and perform them in front of a supportive crowd. There's no better place to find your voice and share it with the world!
The sign-up list opens at 6:30 pm in the upstairs cafe and the mic opens at 7:00pm.

Seating is first come, first served!
Each open mic slot gets you about three minutes of stage time.
No need to memorize your work - just be comfortable and have fun!
If you read someone else’s work, give credit where due.
Above all, show kindness to all. No hate speech, slurs, or sexually explicit language.

The Lizard Lounge

The doors open at 7:00 pm every Sunday, and we start with our “Poetry Slam.” The “Featured Poet” will start roughly at 8:30 pm, accompanied by the Blake Newman Group. After the Featured Poet, we have our “Open Mic,” also accompanied by the Blake Newman Group. There’s a $10 cover charge, and the Lizard Lounge is a 21+ venue.
