AI is here to stay! But how is it affecting creative writers and the art of creative writing? How will it change publishing and the consumption of creative writing? Will AI doom the art? Will it innovate the art?

Join this dynamic panel of poets and prose writers as they discuss their hopes, concerns, and deeper questions about AI and the creative writing life. Featuring award-winning writers Oliver de la Paz, Katie Dozier, and Keith Holyoak. Facilitated by 24PearlStreet’s senior program manager Jennifer Jean.

The Thursday Poets in connection with Galleries at Lynn Arts are hosting a reading by Elizabeth McKim and Margaret Young on Nov. 14 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Galleries at Lynn Arts, 25 Exchange St, Lynn, MA. The reading includes an open mic. Please arrive by 6:45 p.m. to sign up for one of ten spots at the open mic.

Poets Wayne-Daniel Berard and Sara Letourneau are hosting the Pour Me a Poem open mic on the second Thursday of each month at 51 Park Street (Wayne-Daniel's home) in Mansfield, MA, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The next one will be on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The feature will be cohost Wayne-Daniel Berard, who will be reading from his brand-new hybrid memoir.

After the featured poet, there will be a quick break, followed by the main open mic. You can sign up for your time slot upon arrival. The event is free, but please bring a few bucks for when we "pass the hat" for the featured poet or to buy books from the feature as well as the community's other poets.

Please ensure you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before attending. Also, please make sure you park on the even-numbered side of the street, opposite from Wayne-Daniel's house.
