YOU ARE INVITED to: The Cambridge Poetry MashUp in April 2021, a National Poetry Month celebration. The series of events will celebrate the poetic and cultural diversity of poets who live in Cambridge, MA & its neighboring cities. Artists from other states will join us. Poetry, Song, and Storytelling shall abound.

Join us for a friendly night of poetry reading and discussion. Read a few of your favorite poems, a poem you like that might spark discussion. Hosted by Rick Breault & Gallery Z free admission.

Poets Wayne-Daniel Berard and Sara Letourneau are hosting the Pour Me a Poem open mic on the second Thursday of each month at 51 Park Street (Wayne-Daniel's home) in Mansfield, MA, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tess Gordon of Arlington, MA will be our featured poet on Thursday, April 11.After the featured poet, there will be a quick break, followed by the main open mic. You can sign up for your time slot upon arrival. The event is free, but please bring a few bucks for when we "pass the hat" for the featured poet.
Please ensure you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before attending. Also, make sure you park on the even-numbered side of the street, opposite from Wayne-Daniel's house. Please note that the venue may not be accessible to everyone.

Every year, Mass Poetry brings together professor-nominated undergraduate poets from over 15 colleges in the Greater Boston area. With a professor or faculty’s guidance in practicing and revising a poem, one young artist from each institution will perform an original set at our intercollegiate showcase. The event will include a keynote address from local Boston poet, Diannely Antigua, about developing craft, navigating life as a working artist, and understanding the larger role and responsibilities of poets in illustrating our shared future.

Mass Poetry will publish an accumulative anthology featuring pieces written by every student participant, which will be released at the post-show reception. The reception will be catered and include photo ops. This is a wonderful chance for college poets to build connections with peers, learn more about the post-grad artist life, gain performance experience, and have an original work published! We look forward to coming together with our university partners to celebrate, and we offer our thanks to Boston College, the former home of this program.
